We are sad to announce that, on May 21, 2023, at the age of 86, Gerald Hyder of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Hyder and Ollie Hyder; and his siblings, Vearl Hyder, Hartley Hyder, Bea Brown, Ruth Tunnell and Doris Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Huff Hyder; his children, Tony Hyder (Michelle) and Laura Wyatt (Doug); his stepdaughter Gail Pond; his grandchildren, Jordan Wyatt, Emily Page, Allison Wyatt, Bethany Stevens and Luke Hyder; his stepgrandchildren, Ashleigh Cardwell, Jessica Pond, Sierra Cox, Austin Cox and Evan Ferrell; his great grandchildren, Preston Wyatt, Kennedy Wyatt, Elizabeth Page, Abigail Page, Sutton Stevens, Sienna Stevens and Luka Hyder; and his nephew Mike Hyder.
In lieu of flowers for those who wish, memorials may be made to Greenwood Baptist Church, 102 Elliot and Scott Circle, Johnson City, Tennessee 37604.
