We bid farewell to Gilmer Castle in Johnson City, Tennessee, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 18, 2026 at the age of 79. Gilmer touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hale Gilmer and Lena Jessee Castle, Sr.; and his grandson Coleman Fieldon Mutter. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Castle; his children, Gilmer Dwayne Castle (Melinda), Jason Castle (Ashli) and Drema Bales (Mike); his grandchildren, Shayli Castle (Slade Castle) and Colemans; his sisters, Margaret Huff and Shelby Bevins; his niece Elaine Ferguson; and his nephew Rick Huff. He is also survived by family; and many friends.
