With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gordon Douglas Hamilton of Johnson City, Tennessee, who passed away on August 1, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mothers, Carrie Carder Hamilton and Ada Walter; his mother-in-law Virginia Scott Walter; his son David Scott Hamilton; his siblings, George Hamilton, Berwyn L. Hamilton, William E. Hamilton, JoAnn H. Holly and Roy Lee; his sister-in-law Judith Robertson; and his sisters, Diane Hamilton and Carol Hamilton.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Walter Hamilton; his daughter Amye Carol Hamilton; his siblings, Jacqueline Mullins (David) and Norman Hamilton; his sister-in-law Joyce Hamilton; and his nephews, Scot and Brian. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, special cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Marvin's Chapel United Methodist Church or Honor Flight of the Appalachian Highlands.
