He was predeceased by: his father William Carden (Edsel); his son Harry David Carden, Jr. (Tuffy); his brother Gary Lee Carden; and his granddaughter Mindy Sloan Velasquez. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Sue Honeycutt Carden; his children, Tammy Carden Greene (Dustin) and Ron Wilcox; his stepdaughter Jenny Lockett (Jerry); his grandchildren, Daphanie Carden Parham (Joe), Sarah Goodyear (Garrett), Andrew "Andy" Carpenter and J. Alan Lockett (Kayla) of Winter Park, FL; his great grandchildren, Erica, Zachary, Hayden K., Isaac, Kainen, Hayden P., Isabella, Harper, Grayson and Korah; his niece Kim Carden Eggers (Brian); and his great-niece Savannah Eggers.
In lieu of flowers, HD's family requests that he be remembered for his fondness of animals, and that donations be made to the Washington County Animal Shelter.
