We bid farewell to James Joseph McGurk of Johnson City, Tennessee, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 30, 2025 at the age of 86. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jeri; his children, Tim (Susan VanFleet), Suzanne (Dave Azbill), Matt, Amy and Beth (Mike Dugan); and his grandchildren, Drew McGurk (Hannah), Patrick McGurk, Matthew Gray, Charlie Dugan and Evelyn Dugan.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church (72 Shepherd Way, Frankfort, KY 40601). A Mass will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In honor of Jim's lifelong commitment to helping others, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, a cause close to his heart.
