He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wise and Helen Wise (Knox); and his wife Donna Sue Wise. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Wise (Karen) of Johnson City, TN, Geoffrey Wise (Krystina) of Lee's Summit, MO and Elizabeth Gilliam (Lee) of Rolesville, NC; his grandchildren, Thomas, David, Katie Wise (TN), James, William Wise (MO), Emily and John Gilliam (NC); his sister Judith Reinke (Robert) of Medina, OH; and his brother-in-law Dwain Illman (Marilyn) of Bloomington, IN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grandview Christian Church.
