She was predeceased by: her parents, Iss Harrell and Frances Street Harrell; her husband Thomas "Tommy" Malcolm Darden Sr.; and her siblings, Henry Harrell, Florence Elrod and Ethel Foister.

She is survived by: her son Dr. Thomas M. Darden Jr. (Carla Jones Darden) of Albany, GA; her grandchildren, Grace Darden, Patrick Miller (Becca), Cole Miller and Alec Miller; and her siblings, Mary Lee Smith, Lena Wallace (Romley), Bill Harrell (Jackie) and Bobby Harrell (Alice). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
