He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Franklin, Frieda Purkey, R. J. Wisecarver (Barbara) and Willie Wisecarver; and his aunt Marie Purkey.
He is survived by: his parents, Elmer John Purkey (Regina) of Collettsville, NC and Holly Elizabeth Wisecarver; his sister Megan Purkey; his stepsiblings, Michael Robertson (Berlin) and Briana Spillman of Houston, TX; his uncle Danny Purkey; and his aunt Linda Hayes (Lonnie). He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
