He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Jean Rader Hicks; and his siblings, Connie Renee "Sissy" Hicks and Mark Shane "Jody" Hicks. He is survived by: his father Joseph J. Hicks (Jean Hays); and his siblings, Kathy Hicks Smith (E. J.) of East Bend, NC, Lloyd "Bill" Hicks and Robert E. "Bobby" Hicks. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
