She was predeceased by: her parents, Rueben Arthur and Katherine "Kate" Hodder; her husband William McClurg; and her siblings, Dorothy Noble, Rueben Arthur "Bud" Hodder II and Jeanne Borchers.

She is survived by: her children, Vicki McClurg and William Wade "Bill" McClurg II (Kathy); her grandchildren, William Wade "Billy" McClurg (Shanté), Jeremy McClurg and Skylar McClurg; and her great grandchild William McClurg IV. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to organizations supporting the blind and visually impaired, including the Talking Books program, or to the American Heart Association or American Lung Association.
