We are sad to announce that on August 14, 2025, at the age of 86, Joyce Virginia Roberts in Johnson City, Tennessee, born in Asheville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Joyce leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Joyce may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Arthur Roberts and Judy Ernestine Chambers Williams; her son Joseph "Jojo" McAbee; her former husband Joseph Felkel; and her half-brothers, Buck Roberts and Harold Roberts.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Pearson, Tina Wilcox (Lyle) and Richard Alan Pearson.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Anders-Rice Funeral Home (1428 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC 28806). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, August 20th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery (125 Ben Lippen Rd, Asheville, NC 28806).
