He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Cantrell and Gladys Newberry Cantrell; his son Jeffrey Allen Cantrell; his granddaughter Lauren Clover; and his siblings, Charlie Cantrell (Shirley), Oma Horn (Don), Alice Rose (Virgil) and Gaynell Wicks (Otis).
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Fisher Cantrell; his children, Gregory Cantrell, Tywanna Clover (Gary) and Kimberly Mason (Kevin); his daughter-in-law Pamela Cantrell; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Cantrell (Monica), Jessica Cantrell, Sarah Cantrell, Bradley Cantrell (Sarina), Ben Cantrell, Nathaniel Clover (Ashley), Hannah Blackledge (Dylan), Grant Clover (Megan), Savannah Reynolds (Zach), Sabrina Walker (Jordan), Reid Mason (April) and Reece Mason; and his great grandchildren, Ayden, Rylan, Addie, Silas, Sawyer, Harrison, Hadleigh, Oakley, Truett, Ansley, Liam, Teddy, Sheppy and Lottie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
He was excited to donate his expertise as the general contractor of the Coal Miner's Memorial in Richlands, Virginia especially because the name of his dad that he never got to meet was engraved upon it.
