It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Kuulei Chieko (Tokunaga) Kiefer of Johnson City, Tennessee, who passed away on January 20, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Tokunaga and Julia Tokunaga; her brothers, Anthony, Jimmy, Sonny and Max Tokunaga; and her husband Lou Kiefer.

She is survived by: her daughters, Carmel Hodge of Johnson City, TN and Julie Kiefer of St. Louis, MO.; her sister Julie Sentinella; her son-in-law Alex Hodge; her grandchildren, Kelsey Rodriguez (Richie), KC Hodge, William Feldenberg (Juliana) and Oliver Feldenberg; and her great grandchildren, Niko Rodriguez and Ivan Rodriguez.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mark Catholic Church in Peoria.
