We announce the death of Nora Faye Phillips of Johnson City, Tennessee, who passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 67. Nora will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Ruth White; her granddaughter Riley Garland; and her siblings, Otis Hyder (Kay), Gary Hyder, Larry Hyder, Janice Bawgus (Harold) and Joyce Barry.
She is survived by: her friend Phillips; her children, Mariel Garland (Jackie) and Michael Phillips (Allison); her grandchildren, Jadon, Jakobe, Jaxon and Jace; her brother Ronnie Hyder (Sharron); and her close friend Jackie Taylor. She is also survived by Nieces and Nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
A reception will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Jonesborough Funeral Home (1776 US-11E, Jonesborough, TN 37659).
