He was predeceased by: his parents, Shannon Richmond and Helen Richmond; his wife Alice Richmond; his daughter Serena J. Miller; and his siblings, Harold Richmond, Shannon Richmond Jr., Mary Gillespie, Joan Avery, Betty McFarland, Bernice Myrick and Hildred Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Margaret Richmond (Malik) and Jeffrey Richmond (Jennifer); and his siblings, Pauline Neeley, Margaret Hagler and George Richmond. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
