She was predeceased by: her parents, John Eli Scalf and Nancy Miller McAmis; her husband Harlin Bowman; her stepfather Ray McAmis; her son Jerry A. Bowman; and her grandchildren, Byron Bowman and Tabitha Grindstaff.
She is survived by: her children, Carlis E. Bowman of Mount Carmel, TN, Connie Terry of Wytheville, VA, Pamela Bowman of Johnson City, TN and Lourie Sanders of Johnson City, TN; and her sister Patsy Edwards of Telford, TN. She is also survived by four grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to your local animal shelter, as Roxie was an avid animal lover.
