She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Renfro McConnell. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Norton (Dana Norton) and Thomas Edward McConnell (Tina Tolley McConnell); her sister Jo Lucas Rodgers (Dale Rodgers); and her caregivers, Connie McCamey, Jamie Humbert, Tammie Hensley, Angie Boles, Kim Hensley, Wilma Strong, Joe and Elizabeth Willingham. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Appalachian Funeral Home & Cremation Services (800 E Watauga Ave, Johnson City, TN 37601). A graveside service was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Monte Vista Memorial Park (1900 E Oakland Ave, Johnson City, TN 37601).
