He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Shirley Jean Johnson Benfield; his wife Debbie Holtsclaw Benfield; his daughter Amanda Oxendine; his father Paul Benfield; his siblings, Bruce Benfield and Karen Baker (George); his stepmother Hazel Benfield; his stepbrothers, Adam and Mark Honeycutt; his siblings' children, Cheyanne Richardson, April Turner, Amber Baker, Paul Baker and Joseph Lynn Holtsclaw; and his sister-in-law Rachel Wise.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Memorial Funeral Chapel (212 N Main St, Elizabethton, TN 37643). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Holtsclaw Cemetery.
