She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Guinn and Blanche Arnett Guinn; her husband Bill J. Pate; and her siblings, George Guinn, Tommy Guinn, Otis Guinn, Dorothy "Dottie" Forbes of Elizabethton, Myrtle Elliot, Sarah Whitehead and Lee McKinney. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
