He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth McKay Smith; his parents, L. E. Smith and Pauline Smith; his brothers, JW Smith (Edith Smith) and David Smith; his uncle Ross; and his aunt Elizabeth Daniels.
He is survived by: his son Mark William Smith; his cousins, Elma Jean Hensley and Ellen Thompson; his siblings, Joyce Burchfield, Janet Baxter and Gary Smith; his niece Karen Mckay; and his nephew Jamey Mckay. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
