He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Stewart and Ernestine Ard Stewart; his siblings, Timothy Jordan, Thomas Earl Stewart and Christine Carol Stewart; and his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Lewis, Virginia Mitchell, Paul Dixon and Kenny Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Hidie Mitchell Stewart; his son Carl Michael Stewart (Julie Nicole) of Limestone; his mother-in-law Evelyn Mitchell Woodfin; his siblings, Joey Jordan (Denise), Buck Stewart (Betsy), Rosa Johnson (Glen), Linda Bauer (Graig), Sandy Madden, Kay Smith, Ann Ford (Tracy), Alice Smith, Geraldine Folk (David) and Catherine Lowery; his siblings-in-law, Patsy Carey (Edward), Robert Mitchell (Angel), Gary Mitchell (Jayne), Tommy Mitchell (Barbara) and Charlie Mitchell; his pet Sofie Rose; and his nieces, Rosie and Virginia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
