David Alexander Obituary
We announce the death of David Alexander of Jonesborough, Tennessee, who passed away on July 21, 2026, at the age of 78. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Alexander and Emilie Alexander; and his wife Carol. He is survived by: his brother Richard Alexander (Loretta); his children, Robert Kleinschmidt, Kristen O'Connor (Marc) and Michael Alexander (Carrie); his grandchildren, Robert, O'Connor, Emmalyn Goodman, Sarah Johnson, Christopher, Kai, Cynthia, Kleinschmidt and Kathryn Alexander; and his caregiver Cheyenne Adkins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Jonesborough Public Safety's Shop with a Cop or Firefighter program, which provides Christmas gifts and meals to local children in need each year.
