He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Evans and Bertha Evans. He is survived by: his wife Jeannie Evans; his daughters, Angela Harmon of Morristown and Shelley Sluder of Jonesborough; his sister Bonnie Jarnigan of Morristown; his grandchildren, Chris Harmon (Tess) of Jefferson City, Matthew Harmon (Kenzie) of Morristown and Alena Sluder of Jonesborough; his great grandchildren, Ellie Kay Harmon, Colt Harmon and Noelle Harmon; his sister-in-law Susan Pate; his nieces, Sarah Pate (Dustin Gingrow) and Megan Crumley (Will); his great-nephews, Leyton and Emory Crumley; and his great-niece Rosalyn Gingrow. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Jackson Park Covenant Brethren Church (100 Oak Grove Ave, Jonesborough, TN 37659).
