He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R. Clawson and Bessie Clawson; his grandson Josh; and his son-in-law Bruce. He is survived by: his wife Gerri; his children, Sam Clawson (Lisa), Steve Clawson (Marlaina), Doug Clawson, Jr. (Sandra) and Pam Scholten; his grandchildren, Jessica, Andrew, Caleb of Levi, CD, Haylee, Samantha, Jeremiah and Noah; his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Arabelle, Mabel, Aubreigh, Hazel, Brayden, Chance, Oliver, Addison, Cooper and Harper; and his brothers, Ray and Bill. He is also survived by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church (1004 E Lakeview Dr, Johnson City, TN 37601).
