He is survived by: his wife Thea Smith; his daughter Aimee Smith; his grandchildren, Kendell Broyles, Alyssa Brown, Justin Reid, Gracie Ledford, Robert Smith, Jr. and Phillip Smith; his great grandchildren, Avery, Nova, Embrie and Ozias; and his brother Alf Smith (Pansy). He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
