He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Pierce and Gwendolyn Hurley Pierce; and his brother Glenn Pierce. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Pierce; his sons, Scott (Rebecca Pierce) of Franklin and David (Vanette Pierce) of Johnson City, Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Nathan, William, Zachary, Elijah, Isaac, Willow and Alexander.
