He was predeceased by: his parents, George Mason and Gladys Ohelia Tipton Barnett. He is survived by: his wife Helen White Barnett; and his children, Stephanie Barnett and James Adam Barnett.

A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 12:50 PM. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Mountain Home National Cemetery (53 Memorial Ave, Mountain Home, TN 37684).
