We are sad to announce that, on April 25, 2026, at the age of 83, Janice Deakins of Jonesborough, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Allen and Dorothy Christine Bowser Buckingham; her brother James Allen Buckingham; and her daughter-in-law Jane Deakins. She is survived by: her husband Kermit Deakins; her children, Cindy Sutphin (Darrel), Dale Deakins (Linda), Dan Deakins and Doug Deakins; and her grandchildren, Carrie Sutphin, Cristie Ryans (Nick) and Pearl Estep. She is also survived by eight great grandsons and two great granddaughters.
