He is survived by: his wife Martha Dean; his children, Joe E. Dean, Jr. (Patricia) and Rita Kay Bernard; his grandsons, Dustin Bernard (Ruby) and Dillon Bernard (Marissa); and his sisters, Shirley Lilley and Catherine Flinchum (Lloyd). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
