He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Ziebell and Augusta Held Ziebell; his former wife Hanna Gebert Ziebell; his siblings, Fredrick Ziebell, Paula Inge Zerbe of Offenbach and Hanna Wipper of Leipzig, Germany; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Leibfritz, Gerda Gebert, Horst Gebert and Johannes Gebert.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Whitehead Ziebell of The Villages, Florida; his son Markus Albert Ziebell (Regina) of Germany; his stepsons, Thomas, Todd Blair (Missy) of Fripp Island and Timothy Damon Blair of Johnson City, Tennessee; his siblings-in-law, Bill Greer (Karen) of Johnson City, Tennessee, Roger Greer of Johnson City, Tennessee, Liesel Gebert of Germany and Linda Malone (Ronnie) of Jonesborough, Tennessee; his nephews, Daniel Leibfriz (Ester) and Jurgen Zerbe of Germany; his cousin Elizabeth Lechner of Germany; his grandchildren, Eduard Sabelfeld (Coralie), Christina Luckfeldt (Thorsten), Rebekah Jackson and Brandon Blair; and his great grandchildren, Oscar, Clara and Mathilda Sabelfeld. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
