Roy David Bowman Obituary
We announce the death of Roy David Bowman of Jonesborough, Tennessee, who passed away on October 14, 2026, at the age of 74. Roy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Bowman and Mary Elizabeth Glover Bowman; and his siblings, William Henry Bowman, Jimmy Bowman, Dewey Bowman, Troy Bowman and Charlotte Surcey.
He is survived by: his sons, Bradley (Mindy) and Jesse Bowman (Angela); his grandchildren, Christian (Parker) of Jesse, Tine, Ford Bowman and Lainie Eastep (Bailey); his great grandchildren, Miles Carter, Trip Walker, Indy Kate Bowman and Chloe Lynn Eastep; his siblings, Jewel Harris, Lawrence, Robert and Steven Bowman; and his pets, Gypsy and Morgan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Morris-Baker Funeral Home Dogwood Chapel (2001 E Oakland Ave, Johnson City, TN 37601).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Johnson City/ Washington County Animal Shelter.
