She is survived by: her husband Michael Bates; her sons, Isaac Bates (Whitney) of Kingsport and Ian Bates of Kingsport; her siblings, Johnnie Sue Hawley Jonesborough (Craig) and John Saylor III (Earlene Hopkins); her nieces and nephews, Amanda Bates (Ricky Shelton), Paige Bates, Gabe Hawley (Britinee), Isabel Hawley-Lopez (JonMichael), Jack Saylor and Benjamin Saylor; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Zaiden Page, Zara Page, Weston Bates and Luka Hawley; Willow Page.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Trinity Baptist Church. A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
