He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Larren Lane; his children, Cayden Spurgeon, Sarah Sloan (Zack), Kayla Warren (Jeramy) and Tyler Gibson (Caitlin); his grandchildren, Cora Sloan, Payton, Karsyn and Emeri Warren; his parents, L. C. Lane and Joyce Lane; and his friend Eastman.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes - Kingsport (117 E Charlemont Ave, Kingsport, TN 37660). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 12:45 PM. A graveside service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Holston View Cemetery (226-292 Yuma Rd, Weber City, VA 24290).
