With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Edward Speer of Jonesborough, Tennessee, born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on July 6, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Speer and Bobbie Speer; and his siblings, Harold Speer, Jr. and Shirley Speer. He is survived by: his wife Aimee Govett; his stepson Joshuah Barden; his daughter-in-law Kimberly Barden; his grandson Hunter Barden; his stepdaughter Jessi Barden; his sister-in-law Charlotte Speer; his nephew Jonathan Speer; and his friend Jean Haskell. He is also survived by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Wayne's name to Huschka House, a Transitional Living Program in Johnson City for young adults who have aged out of foster care.
