She was predeceased by: her sister Polly Wonson; her husband Henry Needham Whitley (Sonny); her children, Susan Thomas and Mike Whitley; and her granddaughters, Rachel and Caitlin Whitley.
She is survived by: her sister Cordelia Smith; her children, Ronnie Whitley (Linda), Barbara Arnold (Steve) and Sandra Hale (Sonny); her daughter-in-law Tricia Whitley; her grandchildren, Shannon Perich (Scott), Kathleen Lombaard, Emma Stevens (John Paul) and Laura Kelley (Kevin); her great grandchildren, Thomas, Maeve Perich, Quintijn and JP Lombaard; and her great great grandchildren, Caitlin Kelley and Conrad Stevens.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the North Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church (78 Preacher Dowland Rd, Kenton, TN 38233). A burial was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the North Union Cemetery (78 Preacher Dowland Rd, Kenton, TN 38233). A graveside service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A family service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at the North Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church (78 Preacher Dowland Rd, Kenton, TN 38233).
