He is survived by: his wife Janice Hurst; his children, Brandon Hurst (Ashley) and Brandi Haynes; and his siblings, Mary Butler (Ricky), Allen Hurst (Kay) and Samuel Hurst Jr. (Rebecca). He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
