It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ben Douglas Cavitt Sr. of Kingsport, Tennessee, born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on May 20, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Cavitt and Louise Bearfield Cavitt; his son Ben Douglas Cavitt, Jr. (Jennifer); his grandson Landon Noblitt; his brothers, Harold Cavitt and Kenneth Cavitt; his aunt Faye; his sister-in-law Brenda Gilmore; and his close friend Ronnie Norton.

He is survived by : his wife Jan Cavitt; his children, Melissa Myers (Ray), Tabitha Cavitt, Anthony Cavitt (Brianna), Tracy Cavitt (Josh Doran), Stacy Cavitt (Cody Norton) and Cameron Cavitt; his grandchildren, Heather Baker, Garrett Noblitt, Alexis Williams, Jackson Myers, Colton Cavitt, Riley Mooneyham, Drew Cavitt, Bella Cavitt, Rosie Cavitt and Raegan Mooneyham; his great grandchildren, Lyric Baker and Lucy Baker; his siblings, Gene Cavitt (Debbie) and Brenda Cavitt; and his caregivers, Vera Brandon, Anissa Ball, Pam Hughes and Dr. David Merrill. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
