We announce the death of Brenda Fay McClellan (Kingsport, Tennessee), who passed away on August 2, 2026, at the age of 81. Brenda will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Scy Dykes and Polly Bledsoe Dykes; and her daughter Polly Butler. She is survived by: her husband James D. McClellan (Buddy); her daughters, Christy McClellan Day and Jenny McClellan; her stepchild Willie Frye; her grandsons, John (Bub), Andy Day (Madison Day), William Day, Mason Frye (Holly Frye), Michael Castle (Brianna Castle) and Aaron Butler; her great grandchildren, Aphtyn Day, Benji Day, Matthew Butler Jr. and Gage Butler; her children-in-law, John Day and Tessa Frye; and her sister-in-law Jean Anthony (Kathy Oates). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
