He was predeceased by: his parents, Mitchell David and Violet Barger Hyatt; and his brothers, Ed Hyatt (Mitzi) and Paul Hyatt. He is survived by: his wife Althea Hyatt; his children, Lee Hyatt (Melanie) and Dottie Martin (Adam); his brother Carl Hyatt (Sue); his grandchildren, Breana Garlock (Wesley), Sarah Hyatt and Ellie Martin; his great grandchildren, Everett and Beckett Garlock; and his close friends, Randy and Sheri Ward. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, friends, and his church family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in David's memory to the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, and the American Heart Association.
