He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Kitzmiller and Lizzie "Mammie" Doran Kitzmiller; and his siblings, Buck Kitzmiller, William Kitzmiller, R. C. Kitzmiller, Tommy Kitzmiller, Jimmie Kitzmiller, Frank Kitzmiller, Betty Mae Starnes, Hazel Johnson and Shirley Sumpter.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Kitzmiller; his sons, Denny Kitzmiller and Brent Kitzmiller (Ellan); his grandchildren, Taylor Royston (Brent) and Zak Kitzmiller; and his great grandchildren, Riley and Harley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
