We announce the death of Dewayne Bowen of Kingsport, Tennessee, who passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kels Bowen and Anna Jane Bowen; his wife Patsy June Bowen; and his brothers, Quentin Bowen and Randy Bowen.
He is survived by: his son Michael Bowen (Susan); his grandson Isaac Bowen; and his sisters-in-law, Harmalene Thacker, Sandra Bowen and Norma Rodgers Russell. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carter Trent Funeral Home (520 Watauga St, Kingsport, TN 37660). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Hill Memorial Park (800 Truxton Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660).
