It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dolas A Matney of Kingsport, Tennessee, who passed away on May 24, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Rev. William "Ted" Rosevelt; her husband William E. "Eddie" Matney; her sisters, Audrey McNew (Neal), Jackie Darnell and Shirley Darnell; her sister-in-law Joan Darnell; and her brothers, Rev. Robert Matney (Bernice), Charles Matney (Wilma) and Paul Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Matney Peterson (Greg), Valerie Matney Hammonds (Terry) and William E. "Jody" Matney Jr. (Julie); her brothers, Garnett Ray Darnell and Rev. Jonnie Lee Darnell (Lynn); her grandchildren, Christy Michelle Hicks (Tyler Barnes), Marlaina Gayle Peterson and Makenna Elise Peterson; and her sister-in-law Loretta Matney Wilson. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
