It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edith Kapsimalis of Kingsport, Tennessee, who passed away on November 21, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James; her son Michael Jay; her sister Ingrid; her brother-in-law Hans; and her brother Dieter.

She is survived by: her brother Otto Jacobi; her sister-in-law Uschi Ustupsky Jacobi of Germany; her son John Kapsimalis; her daughter-in-law Karen Petrus Kapsimalis; her daughter Nina Kapsimalis; and her daughter-in-law Nina Pimentel. She is also survived by her fifteen nieces and nephews, six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to the local Washington County Animal Shelter in Johnson City, TN.
