She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Otto and Katharina Otto; her husband Jackie Cardwell; her brothers, Wilhelm and Anton Otto; and her aunt Gretl Steiner.
She is survived by: her children, Monik Hensley, Marina Handley and Robert Cardwell; her grandchildren, Dean Hensley (Kimber), Cara Lovell (KK), Kelly Givens (PJ) and Allie Adams (DJ); her great grandchildren, Hayden, Noah and Nova; and her close friend Phyllis Ward (Sib).
A reception will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fireside Room of Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services (800 Truxton Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Elfriede's honor to the American Cancer Society.
