It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Charlotte Samples of Kingsport, Tennessee, who passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Culbertson and Juanita Harris Culbertson; her daughter-in-law Marty Samples; her siblings, Kyle Culbertson, Jimmy Culbertson and Elizabeth Clark; and her grandchildren, Jason Overman and Melissa Overman.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne Samples; her children, David Lee Samples, Pamela Lynn Samples, Penny Renee Samples Brooks and Gina Samples Dove; and her sisters, Judy Parton and Phyllis Taylor. She is also survived by five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any Alzheimer's or Dementia organization of the donor's choice.
