He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey LaForce and Grace LaForce; his siblings, Vivian, Phyllis, Frankie, Joyce, Wanda, Cecil, Everett, Carl and Lon; and his son-in-law Dale Boyd.
He is survived by: his wife Doris LaForce; his daughters, Lisa Cox (Jeff) and Leslie Depew (Mike); his grandchildren, Cortney Smith (Ryan), Brittany Simpson (Michael) and David Depew; his great grandchildren, Paisley, Ruthie and Presley; and his sisters, Jan Helton and Carol Jean Watkins. He is also survived by several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Harmony Church (2300 Bloomingdale Rd, Kingsport, TN 37660). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Oak Hill Memorial Park (800 Truxton Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660).
