He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Mitchell and Emogene Mitchell; his wife Addie E. Mitchell; his daughter Sandra J. Mitchell; and his sisters, Madge Gross, Evelyn Gross, Betty Bowers and Jo Napier.
He is survived by: his children, Jack P. Mitchell II (Tracy), Jim W. Bellamy (Brenda), Chad P. Mitchell (Laura Spivey), Susan Mitchell Smith (family: Sherry Collins, Cara L. Crawford) and Amy J. Weatherly (Bobby); his grandchildren, Jack P. Mitchell III, Hunter L. Blevins, Nicholas J. Bellamy (Lezlie), Katelyn E. Wolferding (Blake), Emilie M. Bledsoe (Zach), Sophia G. Bellamy, Benjamin R. Bellamy, Matt Weatherly, Chelsie Laws and Samuel Crawford; and his niece Donna Howke. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; one, great-great grandchild.
