It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Lee Simpson Winstead of Kingsport, Tennessee, who passed away on April 9, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Wayne Winstead; her parents, Charlie Simpson and Maida Simpson (Brown); and her aunt Sadie Brown. She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Fleenor-Hammonds of Kingsport and Sherry King-Tilson (David Tilson) of Johnson City; her grandchildren, Dalton Hammonds, Rachel Hammonds Lady (Dalton Lady), Holden Hammonds and Skyla Tilson; her great grandchildren, Layla, Sandler and Sadie; her brothers, Wayland Simpson (Alma Simpson) of Kingsport and Stanley Simpson; her son Tony Winstead; her granddaughter Amanda Tilson; her daughter Angie Shaffer Dean; her caregivers, Tabitha, Crystal, Haley, Hannah and Shayne; and also, Roger Hammonds, Hartsel Livesay, Carl Bowman and Kenny Jones.
