He was predeceased by : his parents, Barnie Robert and Lizzie Belle Fields (Begley); and his brother Doyle Fields. He is survived by : his children, Jerry Shane Fields (Malinda Johnson) of Kingsport, TN and Sherry R. Olmo (Willy) of Goose Creek, SC; his grandchildren, Kyle Fields and Abby Fields of Kingsport, TN; and his siblings, Phillis Stokes (J. D. "Smiley") of Yuma, VA and Gale Fields of Gate City, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
