The family announces the passing of John Clark of Kingsport, Tennessee. John, born in Abingdon, Virginia, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
John will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor John by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though John is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. John’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Clark and Bessie Clark; and his wife Ina. He was also cherished by son-in law, a nephew and several nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes - Kingsport (117 E Charlemont Ave, Kingsport, TN 37660). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. An entombment was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Oak Hill Memorial Park (800 Truxton Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660).
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Kingsport or, in John's honor, to R U Kitten Me – The Rescue, a local nonprofit cat rescue that provides medical care for the kitties at Boops & Beans Cat Café.
